First -- you can stay in my house until the next flood. When that happens, you have to leave. So you'd better find someone else with a cabin you can trust, or you'll be spending a lot of time in Zero.

Two: I have a feeling that if I tell you not to snoop, that's only going to make you want to do it more. It'll only lead to wacky misadventures where you get into precisely what I was trying to keep you away from and all my work is ruined.
So, let me get this out of the way. The most interesting thing I have in this house is a secret room in the basement that has what's left of a transdimensional gateway in it. I'm trying to use the materials to build a ship that'll let me travel between realities. Some of those alloys don't even exist in the real world and can't be replaced.
Getting that ship is very important to me.
If something you do down there makes them unusable and I can't complete the project, I will never speak to you again.
