[Well, that's annoying; she'd been hoping for a quick, clean death. Still, she's not unsatisfied with these results - he's clearly in a lot of pain, and that counts for something. Quickly, before he can spot her, she zips back to the stairwell and heads up. It's important that she be seen as far away from here as possible, as quickly as possible. She'll never be able to prove that she didn't do this, but that isn't the point. She wants Betelgeuse (and anyone else who might be thinking about daring to cross her) to speculate that this might have been her, or even to assume that it was her - while still having a good buffer of plausible deniability for herself.]
[Turns out that electricity straight to the heart really hurts, even if one is a weird corpse who has healing. He barely knows what even hit him, and turns his head to hopefully catch a glimpse of just what the hell happened.
But Azula is gone, and he grumbles and moves towards very messy process of sitting up so that someone else doesn't step on him while he waits to heal. BJ shuffles himself, worm-like, towards the wall, one hand against his chest.
He reaches for his communicator, yelping when his fingers touch it; the metal is singed, and burned to a crisp]
Callisto spends a great deal of her time being obvious and impossible to miss, and it's not exactly so that she's harder to notice when she's being quiet and still, but it's not not that either. She can practically smell the lightning on the air, and it makes her eyes tick up from where she's sitting on the floor of the common room inspecting one of the carpets there. She pushes silently to her feet and follows the smell of burned flesh - unmistakable to her, given her powers at full force have taken form as both lightning and fire.
She follows the sound of Betelgeuse failing to die, notes the patter of feet but thinks little enough of it as she pushes open the stairwell door and pulls a face at the stench.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" she purrs, raising an eyebrow.
"The consequences of my own actions!" he sputter-laughs, but ends it in a gasp of pain. "Ow. Fuck."
Betelgeuse is lying sprawled like a diseased starfish, an arm draped over a higher stair and another being used to prop himself up lest he slip again. His clothing is still smoky and all of his fingertips are blackened and oozing.
Ironically, it's not the state of him that gets her nose wrinkled in disgust so much as it is the flirtation. She crouches, tabletopping her knees and folding her elbows across them to peer at him, curious about the juxtaposition of what she can see and what she can hear.
He should be dead, probably, maybe. He never said anything about that in Zero. She reaches down to poke the skin on the back of his hand.
"Those can be - meddlesome, can't they?" she hums. "Are these the demon powers you spoke of?"
Well, that's unfortunate for him: when she glances up and catches sight of it, she wraps her hand around his wrist and twists it up so she can look at his palms, hard.
"I'm not your babe," she informs him coolly. "You don't burn like you should."
He grunts, not putting up a fight as Callisto paws all over him.
"Usually I wait until the second date for a pretty girl to undress me but you're very forward and I like that. We should hang out more. When I'm not a smoking husk."
There's scarring from a lightning strike in the skin around BJ's back where the bolt entered him, the skin blackened and the clothing reduced to ash around it. But bit by bit, it's healing from the inside out.
She's not shy about it: as soon as she realizes there's more damage to see on his back she shifts her weight for better balance and pulls to flip him over like a tablecloth.
"You don't know?" she asks, wrinkling her nose again, then grinning when she confirms that she does recognize this. She knows exactly what this is.
Honestly, she probably doesn't to get involved. She just came from the gym, and she's still a little sweaty and would much rather go wash off instead of being faced with two freaks. She's not a warden. Who cares?
Still, it's a little too interesting to not stop when BJ is face-down and Callisto is just poking at his burnt remains.
"Shit." He chuckles to Callisto, tapping his fingers against the floor in thought. "Who here has lightning in a jar? Some half-Zeus kid, probably. Which, let's be honest, is half this ship. That guy gets around."
He tries to roll over and look at Elizabeth, but his limbs are still locked up and moving still is not going to happen just yet.
Another chuckle from the peanut gallery, as he attempts to get his hands up underneath him and gives up half-way through. This is nice, though. He fawns over Callisto, turning his head to one side to look at her fingers with obvious adoration.
"That's the spirit. Shock me again, sister. My hair is like 80% grease and flammable liquid, it'll be funny."
She makes a face, but does take a step forward. "If you're going to fuck, please find a private room. No one wants to see that."
If not (because she isn't sure about Callisto's morals but she's fairly sure the woman has at least some taste) she's going to keep her eyes on those sparking fingers.
"We aren't going to fuck," Callisto snaps, disgusted at the very idea. She does seem to have misjudged this situation though, with how Betelgeuse is reacting to someone trying to kill him.
Elizabeth takes a step forward and Callisto twists to face her, holding her hand up and letting another spray of cinders flicker threateningly. "Did you think to have something else to say?"
He opens his mouth to immediately go, "There are a few people who want to see that!" but he shuts up and manages to roll over on his side, staring down Elizabeth for the first time.
"Okay. That one hurt." BJ says in light of his own movement.
"Uh. Usually takes me a few hours after death to get back up on my feet again so if you ladies are gonna fight, by all means keep it going here, I could use some girl-on-girl entertainment."
Elizabeth purses her lips and crosses her arms, looking at Callisto. She squares up a little, though, clearly ready to throw down if she attempts to hurt her with those.
"Did he do something specific to piss you off, or did you just want to kill someone?"
She doesn't sound like she thinks very highly of that. She also doesn't think very highly of BJ, but she can ignore that remark.
Elizabeth is reacting in a way Callisto understands, so she gets the bulk of her attention. Wiping her fingers off on the nearest shoulder of Betelgeuse's jacket, she pushes to her feet and turns to face the other woman - taking a step away so it's harder for the man to look up her skirt.
"Yes," she says simply, smiling her broad, snake smile. "Does that change what you think you're going to do about it?"
She briefly glances at BJ, face completely neutral. She doesn't enjoy violence, she's no gleeful sadist, but she also doesn't need to roll over that easily.
"What's been your goal here, exactly, Callisto? Just killing people left and right-- for what?"

Despite all this, he winks at Callisto.
"Come here often?"

"Some of 'em. Healing powers, babe. Just gotta - nngh! - wait it out."
BJ is clearly using Callisto's crouching position to eyeball at her chest.
"Wanna wait it out with me?"

Still, no harm in a second peek, right?
"Yeah, kinda the thing about being dead, California."

"You're just a bit more stubborn than most."

Still, it's a little too interesting to not stop when BJ is face-down and Callisto is just poking at his burnt remains.
"Do any of you need a doctor?"

"Lightning, dear. It was lightning," she informs him, satisfied. Maybe a little too satisfied.
And then Elizabeth is there and Callisto barely even looks up. "Why, do you have one?"

He tries to roll over and look at Elizabeth, but his limbs are still locked up and moving still is not going to happen just yet.

"I do," she snarls, maybe a touch suggestively, the fingers she reaches for his hair with sparking. Children of Zeus indeed.
